Booking needs a supported calendar — check yours first. A common reasonable-use policy covers unusual or bulk texting and human calling; these are not unlimited allowances. Existing customers keep their price and terms unless they opt in. Read the SimpleBooked plan terms.

Using a booking app?

Booksy, Vagaro, GlossGenius, Square Appointments, Fresha

We do not write into these directly. Many of them can sync your appointments to a Google Calendar — if yours does, turn that on and connect that calendar. Check it in your app’s settings under calendar sync.

If it does not sync to Google Calendar, SimpleBooked is not a fit for you yet. The AI can still answer your phone and text you every caller’s details, but it will not book for you — so most shops in that position should wait for us.

Apple Calendar, Outlook, paper books

We have no integration for these. Rather than sell you a plan that cannot book, we would rather you know now. Tell us what you use and we will say whether it is on the roadmap.

Good questions.

Will it work with my booking system?

Booking needs a Google Calendar. If your booking app syncs to one, connect that calendar and you are set; if it does not, we cannot book for you yet. The full list is above — decide before you enter a card, not after.

Can I use deposits?

Deposit links can be part of a supported setup. Whether a deposit is optional or required depends on your business’s configuration. We’ll confirm the payment setup and booking rules with you before enabling them.

Is it just for barbershops?

No. SimpleBooked is for appointment businesses including hair salons, barbershops, nail studios and spas. We tailor the conversation to your services and check that the booking workflow fits.

What counts as an AI minute?

Connected AI conversation seconds, including your own test calls, are added together without rounding each call up. Failed connections, pure human-only portions, web bookings and internal demos do not count. We review usage manually and credit platform-caused retries. A call crossing renewal belongs to the period when it started.

Can I change plans?

Contact us. Owner-approved upgrades can take effect immediately with a disclosed prorated price difference, the same billing date, the larger current-cycle allowance and usage carried forward. Downgrades take effect at renewal. Enterprise terms are agreed in writing.

Do I have to talk to someone to sign up?

No. You can start the free trial and finish setup yourself — pick your number, connect your calendar, confirm your hours and services. If you would rather talk first, use the meeting request below and suggest a time at least 48 hours away; Mike confirms by email, and a request doesn’t reserve a time automatically.

What happens right after I sign up?

You choose a local number, enter your card (nothing is charged for 30 days), and we set up your AI line in about a minute. Then you finish a short checklist — connect your calendar, confirm your time zone, hours and services. Your AI answers calls as soon as the number is live; it starts booking once you confirm that checklist.
